Power plant will modernize its fuel feeding system from coal to pellets and reduce emissions

The French-administered island of Guadeloupe has an Albioma owned Le Moule power plant, one of the longest-running power plants on the island. The plant has been in operation since 1998. It generates 31% of the island state’s electricity and utilizes locally produced, renewable energy sources. Laitex has modernized the power plant’s fuel feeding system from coal to biomass pellets and commissioning is imminent.

Laitex’s order backlog at record level – Capacity will be increased in Lappeenranta

Laitex will expand and renew its workshops in Lappeenranta by investing EUR 1.5 million during 2021. The head office assembly and storage area will be expanded by a total of 1,000 m². Lauritsala’s manufacturing workshop’s machinery will be renewed and a new surface treatment hall will be built with modern grain blasting and surface treatment technology.

Laitex Oy will supply Vapo’s new activated carbon plant with process equipment, conveyors, and storage after the activated carbon furnace. This is a strategically significant project for Vapo to meet the growing international demand for activated carbon.

Towards a cleaner future: Laitex solutions included in new Lieksa bio-oil refinery

Laitex signed a full scope delivery agreement with Green Fuel Nordic Oy, according to which Laitex will supply material handling solution for new bio-oil refinery. Laitex’s delivery scope also includes equipment installation, electrification and automation management with three years service agreement.

Laitex is supplying a fuel handling system as a full scope delivery to a new bioheat power plant in Haapajärvi

Laitex Oy has signed an agreement with Haapajärven Lämpö Oy on the delivery of a new bio fuel plant’s fuel receiving system as a turnkey delivery. Haapajärven Lämpö invests in a new 20 MW fluidized bed boiler plant, which uses for example wood chips, sawmill by-products and unprocessed recycled wood as fuel.

Laitex Equipment will be part of the world’s largest biomass plant

“PHB Weserhütte S.A.U.” is currently developing the biomass handling system for the Tees Renewable Energy Plant Project, located in Teesside, United Kingdom, for the consortium Técnicas Reunidas (TR) & Samsung C&T. Costing £650m to build, the Tees Renewable Energy Plant will be the largest dedicated biomass power plant in the world and is the largest thermal-combustion power plant under construction in the UK today.
