Arkhangelsk overview

Wood chip storage modifications was provided to Arkhangelsk, Russia to enhance efficiency in wood processing. Plant’s equipment was modernized by remodeling existing three wood chip silos and fitting modern Silo reclaimers and Discharge screws to the old silos.

The storing and conveying solutions were equipped with IoT solutions that help to detect problems before they occur and thus prevent equipment from breaking down.

Increased capacity with new silo screw dischargers

One of the goals of the investment was to reduce high maintenance costs. The goal was achieved with new equipment that help dispense fuel more efficiently and streamline the maintenance process. In addition, modernization made maintenance easier and enhanced operational efficiency.

One of the main products of the project was the Silo screw discharger that allows more accurate dispensing from the modified wood chip storages. Consequently, capacity also increased.

Modernizing plants

Laitex’s core competencies is in making plants’ conveyor systems easy to maintain, energy efficient and reach their full capacity. With the continuing partnership between the customer and Laitex, the project was carried out beyond expectations.
