Laitex is proud to announce the successful takeover of our scope in Stora Enso’s billion-euro investment at the Oulu mill. This project represents a big step for sustainable and efficient material handling in the pulp and paper industry. We supplied a fuel receiving system for side-tipping trucks. Our package also included an automatic sampling system. We provided conveyors to move biomass to the open fuel yard and boiler. Additionally, there is a biomass stacker and a screw reclaimer under the storage pile. These solutions help Stora Enso handle fuel smoothly and efficiently at their upgraded facility.

Laitex not only supplied key material handling systems but also handled the entire setup and commissioning of the equipment. Our team has designed and built a new truck receiving building equipped with an advanced dust removal system to improve operational safety and reduce emissions. We have also provided equipment instrumentation and piping, ensuring seamless integration of the fuel handling system with Stora Enso’s operations.

“This project showcases Laitex’s expertise in full-scope bulk material handling solutions. By providing high-performance and sustainable material handling equipment, we are helping our partners meet their environmental and operational goals,” says Lasse Kurronen, CEO at Laitex.

By implementing these advanced solutions, Stora Enso will be able to handle a higher volume of biomass, including wood chips and bark, and improve storage efficiency at the Oulu mill. This project is a great example of how clever engineering and teamwork help the industry become more sustainable. At Laitex, we are proud to be part of this transformational investment, showcasing our expertise in full-scope bulk material handling solutions and contributing to a greener future.
