Laitex, a leading provider of material handling solutions, is excited to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Valmet to design, supply, erect, and commission an advanced pellet handling system for Göteborg Energi AB to be built at Mölndal Energi’s Riskulla site in the municipality of Mölndal, Sweden. This project is a testament to Laitex’s expertise in delivering innovative and efficient solutions for the energy sector.

The scope of the project awarded to Laitex includes a pellet receiving & storage system, pellet dust storage and dosing system, and dust removal system, spark detection and extinguishing system, pneumatic conveyor systems for ash handling, instrumentation, erection, commissioning & training program.
A 50 MW pellet-fired heating plant will be integrated into the existing district heating system and operated by Mölndal Energi. This new boiler plant will provide additional renewable district heating for the southern part of Göteborg Energi’s network and improve heat production efficiency in the Mölndal/Gothenburg area.
