Laitex has appointed Olli Pekkarinen as Head of Business Unit, Service. In his new role, Olli will lead the development of Laitex’s service business and Life Cycle Services offering.
Life cycle services are becoming an increasingly important part of how we support our customers. The Laitex’s goal is to be there throughout the lifecycle of the equipment, from spare parts and field services to refurbishments, modernizations, advisory services and service agreements.
Olli brings to the role a strong background in sales, customer-focused business development and industrial solution business. Before joining Laitex, he worked at Hilti, and his background also includes several years of research at Lappeenranta University of Technology.
Olli holds a Doctor of Science degree in Technology. His doctoral research focused on industrial solution business and how industrial companies develop from product-focused businesses towards broader solution offerings. His research has also covered industrial maintenance services and customer value in maintenance partnerships.
This combination of commercial experience and a deep understanding of industrial service and solution business provides a strong foundation for developing Laitex Service further.
Material handling equipment is often a critical part of a larger production process. When equipment performance changes or an unexpected stop occurs, the effects can quickly reach other parts of the plant.
By combining our knowledge of bulk material handling equipment with maintenance, modernization and service expertise, we can help customers take care of existing equipment and plan its development over the longer term.
Olli’s appointment supports the next phase of this work.
