Laitex Oy is proud to be involved in supporting education and research in South Karelia. The LUT Group’s fundraising for LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences was a great success. They received an impressive donation of 2.1 million euros from local businesses. This will create two new professorships at the university and one senior lecturer position at the University of Applied Sciences.
Laitex Oy is participating in the fundraising by supporting two new professorships:
Professorship in Particle Technology and Professorship in Artificial Intelligence.
Laitex’s CEO Lasse Kurronen comments on our participation as follows: “It is important for us to support the development of expertise and research in South Karelia. Both particle technology and artificial intelligence are key areas for industry and sustainable development. We are proud that we can be part of enabling new learning opportunities and innovations.”
The amount raised by the LUT Group is a significant investment in higher education and research in the region. Donated funds help establish two professorships and one senior lectureship. These positions support cooperation between companies and universities. They also create new chances for developing innovations and expertise.
