Project Overview
Loading conveyors were delivered for flexible loading either into containers or a train wagon. Approximately 383 000 tons of nickel concentrate pass through the system each year.
Laitex scope of supply included filter cake conveyor system, container loading equipment, a train wagon loading system, and commissioning supervision. Loading conveyors are connected to an automation system to keep the dosing volumes stable.
Flexible loading conveyor system
Laitex implemented a tailor-made solution for the concentrator plant on a tight schedule. The material flow of the conveyor can be driven in two directions depending on where the material is loaded. With Laitex’s own loading technology, the sea container and the train wagon are filled evenly and weighing errors are reduced.
The two loading systems give the concentrator the freedom to use different modes of transport. Hence, long supply chains between the concentrator and refinery plants remain better controlled.
